* We are currently offering a $1500.00 hiring bonus $500 after 90 days $500 after 6 months $500 after 1 year * Only complete applications will be considered. Position Purpose Responsible for the education and development of the nursing staff in accordance with all laws, regulations, company standards and best nursing practices; in the infection control role, lead the organizations infection control efforts. Finally, may act as a floor nurse should the need arise. Essential Job Functions This facility expects their employees to promote an atmosphere of teamwork with other employees and hospitality and comfort for its residents. Therefore, the following list of duties is not all-inclusive: Staff Development: * Works with the facility Administrator and Director of Nursing (DON) to determine training subjects and skills geared toward improving employee efficiency. * Prepare, Deliver and Document all in-service education programs in order to meet facility educational requirements. * Maintain in-service logs for all nursing staff. * Periodically evaluate employees for retention of knowledge and need for re-training. * Be familiar with Standard Precautions, Exposure Control Plan, Fire Drill and Evacuation Procedures and know how to use the information. Antimicrobial Stewardship Program: * Recognize and isolating outbreaks of infectious diseases in healthcare settings and in the community at large. * Creating strategies and action-plans for the prevention of outbreaks * Collecting and analyzing data on the incidence of HAIs and the success or failure of various prevention strategies * The investigation of possible outbreaks and the marshalling of proper resources in response in the event of a confirmed outbreak * Serving as an infectious disease consultant for both healthcare providers and members of the community * Serving as an advocate and educator for members of the community infected with HIV/AIDS, TB, nosocomial infections, etc. and their families. Additional Duties: * Maintains nursing assistant sign in sheets on a daily basis * Maintain current certification and licenses for nursing staff. * Assists in the DON and their assistant (ADON) in the preparation nursing schedules and modification, as needed. * Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records/information. * Protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse. * Protect the personal property of the residents of the facility. * Other duties as directed by the DON or administrator, to include, nursing duties. Minimum Qualifications * Must be a Registered Nurse, licensed in the state of Georgia. * Experience in Staff education and scheduling. * Organized and detailed in work performance. * Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience. * Genuine caring for and interest in elderly and disabled people in a nursing facility. * Comply with the Residents' Rights and Facility Policies and Procedures. * Perform work tasks within the physical demand requirements as outlined below. * Perform Essential Duties as outlined above. * Long-Term Care experience, a plus. Working Conditions * Works in an office area as well as throughout the facility. * Moves intermittently during work hours. * Is subject to frequent interruptions.

Pay

Average Georgia Staff Position Pay

$45.04/hour
