Cancer and blood disorders are challenging conditions that require experts who devote themselves to researching and treating these diseases with diligence and compassion. Weston Hospital's caregivers treat even the most complex cancerous and noncancerous (benign) disorders with advanced treatments and exceptional care. As a Registered Nurse in the Chemotherapy Infusion Suite, you will administer chemotherapy to cancer patients. A caregiver in this position works 9:00AM - 5:30PM. A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Provide direct nursing care. * Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. * Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. * Administer prescribed medications and treatments. * Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. * Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. * Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. * Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). * One-year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience. * Completion of ONS chemo/bio course within two years of employment. * Any registered nurse or advanced practice nurse must obtain a cancer specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facilities accreditation cycle, if they work in medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer center or cancer clinic and/or administer chemotherapy within an accredited Cleveland Clinic facility. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
