This posting is for multiple vacancies for Registered Nurses on various floors and shifts at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center. THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED MANDATORY AND MUST REPORT OR STAY OVER DURING ADVERSE WEATHER EVENTS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES. Shift preferences will be discussed in the interview. Flexibility is required for training/education purposes and to meet facility needs. These positions will currently be located at: Longleaf Neuro Medical Treatment Center, 4761 Ward Blvd., Wilson, NC 27893 Per G.S. 126-5 (c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7. Registered Nurses are needed at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center (LMNTC). This posting is for multiple RN vacancies on various floors and shifts at Longleaf Neuro-Medical Treatment Center. The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the nursing team, which serves to provide an interdisciplinary approach to the care planning process of our residents. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: * Identifying and assessing residents needs/nursing/health needs. * Administering medications as directed by physicians. * Working closely with the medical staff to provide quality medical care. * Serving as "charge nurse", overseeing daily nursing care, consisting of coordinating all licensed and non-licensed staff duties in accordance with Board of Nursing delegation and responsibilities ABOUT NC DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES (DHHS): he North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) serves the needs of the most vulnerable of North Carolinians and, in order to accomplish this, we hire only the most dedicated and caring individuals. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: * the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date); * the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency; * or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
