Nurse Clinician, Acute Care Cardiology Unit

Develops and implements practice guidelines, participates as active and integral member of clinical pathway team, and maintains the established standards of care and practice through staff development, clinical improvement activities, and patient/staff education. The 9T Cardiology Medical/Surgical Unit is dedicated to providing the highest-quality, most compassionate care to cardiac patients and their families. This is a 32-bed unit designed to provide 24/7 care to adolescents, adults, and a geriatric patient population with acute illness or varying stages of receperation from dignositc, therapeutic, and/or surgival intervantion. We treat a diversity of patient with alterations of the cardiovascular system, including those with: heart failure, cardiomyopathy, ACS/Angina/Chest Pain, NSTEMI, Coronary Artery Disease, Arrhythmis Dysfunction, perpheral vascular disease, and DVT. Tower Cardiology is also capable of providing care to patients who are post diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac device implant and Electrophysiology study and/or ablation REQUIRED * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, * Two (2) years of recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the area of nursing assigned. * Current, unrestricted license as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of Georgia * Must hold American Heart Association BLS Certification. PREFERRED * National Certification in Clinical Specialty
