Electroencephalography Technologist II (EEG Tech II)


Overview Legacy Health is seeking Registered EEG Techs to join our team. Looking for Techs to work a majority of their time in the adult EMU and support expansion of our services. Our EEG Techs work in both inpatient and outpatient settings with adults and pediatrics, including both adult and pediatric EMUs. This is a great opportunity for a fairly self- motivated individual. Responsibilities Under the general technical supervision, the EEG Technologist II independently performs electroencephalography (EEG), long-term monitoring for Epilepsy (LTME), continuous EEG monitoring (cEEG) and ambulatory monitoring. Provides findings and a descriptive analysis according to department procedures. Works with neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient populations on inpatient units and in the outpatient laboratory. May also perform Evoked Potentials (EP) or intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) as appropriate based on competence. Requires ability to work at all Legacy hospitals, float between sites during shift and to take night, weekend and holiday call as scheduled. Qualifications Education: High School graduate and graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program, or an Associate's degree or higher with an emphasis on physical or biological science from an accredited college or university or equivalent training. Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in performing electroencephalography in a clinical setting or through an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) Program required. Skills: Strong communication skills and working proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic systems.
