Certified Nurse Midwife - OB Triage Hospitalist


We are searching for a Certified Nurse Midwife - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide independent midwifery services to patients but collaborate with the attending physician and interdisciplinary health team. Think you've got what it takes? Skills & Requirements * Graduation from a school of midwifery required * RN - Registered Nurses and CNM - Certified Nurse-Midwife Required * Bachelor's degree in nursing Preferred * APN License, APN ACLS Cert, and ACLS NRP Cert Preferred Job Duties & Responsibilities * Develop and maintain a caseload of patients based on practice goals and objectives * Provide direct clinical services and management of mothers and babies as defined in the Nurse Midwife Collaborative Guidelines of the practice * Obtain patient health histories and complete physical examinations * Document findings noting pertinent normal and abnormal findings * Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests * Perform approved therapeutic procedures based upon the patient's clinical status * Document patient preparation and response to procedure(s) * Formulate and implement prenatal, intra-partum, postpartum, newborn and interconceptional care as defined by the nurse midwifery service * Explain the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of procedure(s) to patient, family and staff * Maintain professional practice and development * Consult and/or serve as an expert consultant to nursing, members of the healthcare team and to the larger community As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Pay

Average Texas Staff Position Pay

$53.33/hour
