City/State Norfolk, VA Overview Work Shift First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager Registered Nurse (RN) for the Outpatient Infusion Centers that are located at Sentara Norfolk General and Sentara Independence. Hours/Shift: Full Time/Day Shift Our Infusion Centers care for a broad variety of patients to include oncology, neurology, allergy & asthma, infections disease, transplants, and more. Job Summary: Responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Models and leads professional practices consistent with organizational goals of safety, customer satisfaction and quality for the area of expertise. Supervises staff, provides clinical/ technical expertise and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing/revenue management, payroll, purchasing and supply cost management. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews, hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. BSN or MSN preferred. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by specific specialty; Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; NRP within 6 months of hire. Inpatient Pediatrics. PALS within 6 months of hire. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.
