Indian River Hospital's 4 East Unit is a Medical/Surgical Unit that provides exceptional care to diverse populations of patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. RNs play an integral role in the exceptional care Cleveland Clinic provides to patients and this team is committed to offering you the opportunities that will allow you to thrive in an exciting and fulfilling career that's designed to keep you engaged for many years. A caregiver in this position works days, 7:00am - 7:00pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Provide direct nursing care. * Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. * Monitor, record, document and communicate patients' conditions. * Administer prescribed medications and treatments. * Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. * Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs. * Educate patients and their families. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. * Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). * One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider licensed military RN experience. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN).
