Physician Assistant - General Surgery ( Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Complex Hernia Repair) - Days - Columbia University Campus

Location New York, New York Shift: Day (United States of America) Description: Physician Assistants at NYP: A Growing, Autonomous Team Physician Assistant - Laparoscopic, Bariatric and Complex Hernia Repair Surgery Service - Days - Columbia Campus Experience autonomy and camaraderie unique to our Physician Assistant team. Practice the art and science of evidence-based medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Lead the charge in improving the patient care experience. As a Laparoscopic Surgery PA, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of residents and surgeons covering this busy surgical service. There are opportunities to grow, teach, and have significant autonomy. The position primarily consists of post-operative management of patients on the step down unit and floor. This role requires 4 day shifts per week (6am-4pm), including rotating weekend coverage (No nights or holidays). Preferred Criteria * Background in Surgery and/or Medicine * At least 1 year of experience * Strong new graduates with a demonstrated passion for surgery are also encouraged to apply Required Criteria * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies * NYS licensure and NCCPA certification Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
