Job Description As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Cedar Park Regional Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. We are seeking an experienced Critical Care ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on the Night Shift! The Critical Care floor is a 21 bed combined Intensive Care and Progressive Care unit focused on providing a high level of direct and individualized care to treat critically ill patients with a variety of life-threatening medical, cardiovascular, neurological, and surgical needs. Our highly skilled team of healthcare professionals is dedicated to keeping our patients and their families healthy. Job Duties: * Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care * Assists physicians during examinations and procedures * Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse * Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills * Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals Minimum Requirements: * Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred * Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire * American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
