Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinator - Critical Care IMCU (Stepdown)

City/State Norfolk, VA Overview Work Shift Third (Nights) (United States of America) Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for a Critical Care Intermediate Care (Stepdown Unit) - PVSU (Progressive Ventilator Stepdown Unit), full time night shifts. Position Summary: Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Behavioral Health - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 15 days of hire. Emergency Care - de-escalation and physical intervention training within 90 days of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
