As a Clinical Support Nurse at Novant Health, you will serve as a vital resource for clinical nurses and other members of the nursing team, providing essential clinical, educational, and emotional support. Leveraging your expertise and utilizing technology, you will ensure high-quality bedside care and promote professional development within the nursing workforce. Qualifications * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. * Current valid North Carolina nursing license required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association required. * Nursing professional certification in an acute nursing specialty required. * Minimum of three years of clinical practice experience required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course. Responsibilities * Receives and manages requests from clinical nurses and team members. * Utilizes technology to assess bedside care needs and share resources. * Rounds on newly hired staff, residents, and preceptors to offer support. * Escalates clinical practice concerns to appropriate leaders. * Conducts in-services and skills training for night and weekend staff. * Validates clinical competencies and advises on available classes. * Proficient in accessing educational resources through various platforms. * Identifies gaps in educational resources and communicates with leaders.
