Registered Nurse LDRP


POSITION SUMMARY: Coordinates, delegates and provides professional care to patients through the laboring process including delivery and recovery in accordance with prescribed, delegated medical regimen and medical center policies.# The RN provides patient care based on the nursing process, considering the physical and developmental age of the patient in compliance with the organizational P/P and North Carolina State Board of Nursing regulations. He/she is responsible for the clinical management of assigned patients. The RN provides direction and supervision to the LPN, NA, and unit clerical staff to ensure safe and efficient patient care by coordination of the patient care team. The RN maintains current knowledge and skills appropriate to the age of patients served. # EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: #Minimum Required:# Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, with current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.# BLS, ACLS,#NRP certifications.# Must be proficient in keyboard operations and basic computer applications. # Preferred:#BSN and specialty certification. # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and clinical practice relevant to the age group(s) of patients assigned to the unit.# Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
