Registered Nurse (Respite)
Sign on Bonus may Apply! Certain restrictions apply: Bonus is pro-rated based on set of hours work per week (FTE), Bonus is provided in two installments that must meet certain conditions, Bonus does not apply to Per Diem (on-call) positions, must have been employed with Cascadia for at least 12 consecutive months or be a current employee. This position is located in the Rockwood area. The schedule for this position is Friday through Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Exciting Opportunity: Registered Nurse for Adult Respite Program Mission: At Cascadia Health, our mission is to deliver whole health care through integrated mental health and addiction services, primary care, and housing. Program Description: Our Crisis Respite program offers a lifeline to individuals facing mental health-related crises. As a community-based alternative to psychiatric hospitalization or higher levels of care, Respite provides short-term stability and support in a safe, nurturing environment. We work collaboratively with residents and community treatment providers to address their needs while resolving crises and promoting recovery. Position Overview: As a Registered Nurse for our Adult Respite Program, you'll play a crucial role in coordinating treatment and implementing medical interventions. You'll provide compassionate care and support, ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. With a focus on trauma-informed care, you'll understand and address the effects of trauma on health and coping. Key Responsibilities: * Provide quality nursing care, including medical interventions and documentation. * Formulate Nursing Care Plans for residents' medical/physical conditions. * Administer medications and conduct assessments to determine appropriate interventions. * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans. * Act as a liaison with medical staff, pharmacy, and laboratory services to ensure continuity of care. * Foster community reintegration and wellness through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. * Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and documentation in compliance with regulations. * Participate in nursing meetings, case conferences, and staff training sessions. * Assist in crisis situations, following protocols for trauma-informed interventions. * Provide leadership and support to ensure the smooth operation of the program. Qualifications: * Active Oregon Registered Nurse License and CPR/First Aid Certification. * QMHP or QMHA credential as outlined in OAR 309-016-0005. * Minimum two years of clinical experience in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred. * Knowledge of medical conditions commonly encountered by individuals with mental illness. * Motivational Interviewing skills and ability to maintain a trauma-informed care environment. * Proficiency in computer hardware and software for job functions. * Ability to commute to various Cascadia sites and community locations as needed.
