APP - Pediatric Sleep Medicine- Charlotte, NC

Atrium Health Levine Children's (AHLC) is looking for an experienced FT Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their dynamic Pediatric Sleep Medicine team. The PNP, FNP, or PA-C will assist the team in providing outpatient care for children while under the supervision of and in collaboration with a licensed physician. Essential Functions: * Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed * Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care. * Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients. * Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record. * Acts as a patient advocate for pediatric patients with various sleep disorders such as insomnia, behavioral insomnia, sleep deprivation, parasomnias, sleep disordered breathing, and hypersomnia. * Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested. * M-F, 8-5, no call, with ability to work remote 1-2 days per week. * Primary office site in South Park area of Charlotte, NC with future opportunities to work in satellite offices. Education, Experience and Certifications: * Pediatric experience preferred. * Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina. * Prefer that candidate also have an established South Carolina license. * Must have or be eligible for a DEA license. * Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants). * Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants). * Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred (PA Applicants). * Experience or interest in Behavioral Health or Behavioral Sleep Medicine preferred About the Team: * This position is an opportunity to become part of a dynamic and growing multidisciplinary team involved in quality improvement, research, and medical education. * Competitive Salary - including relocation and a comprehensive benefits plan. * Annual CME allowance of $2500 and 40 hours.
