SUMMARY The Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator ensures compliance to established policies, procedures, and/or regulations required to maintain a department's program(s) of services. Manages education/training programs and services, develops related goals and objectives, recommends policies, and evaluates program outcomes. Utilizes a high degree of initiative to plan, develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate educational and clinical experiences. The three spheres of influence include patient/family, staff nurses, and health organizations/systems. Provides clinical leadership, and serves as a role model and facilitator of learning and resource for the translation of skills and knowledge into clinical practice. The roles of the Advanced Clinical Nurse Educator include, direct patient/family care, consultation, change agent, teaching/coaching/mentoring, research, patient advocacy, performance improvement, and leadership & professional development.
