Department Overview The Ambulatory Infusion Clinics provide infusion and injection services to patients referred from a variety of specialties including Rheumatology, Neurology, Dermatology, Cardiology and other service lines. The infusion staff work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidenced-based, patient centered nursing care across both locations as described. Function/Duties of Position The OHSU registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to individuals, families, communities and patient populations. The RN's care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, and the ANA Code of Ethics. The RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist, leader, practitioner, and knowledge transferor. Professional accountability enriches the RN's engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making, innovation, life-long learning, and teamwork. The infusion staff work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, evidenced-based, patient centered nursing care across both locations as described. Department Specific Working Conditions: * Work assignment could be scheduled at either location depending on staffing needs. * Rotate into other assignments (conditional based on appropriate training.) Department Specific Requirements (competencies, equipment, certifications, etc.): * Completion of Infusion Nursing Society Fundamentals of Infusion therapy (FIT) modules certification during orientation period * Record, track, and assign duties and processes to ensure appropriate billing and revenue generation, when applicable. Required Qualifications * External applicants: Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing Degree from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) * Internal applicants: Associate's Degree in Nursing * Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License * BLS at time of hire and must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or Military Training Network branch of AHA (upload documentation with online application) * BLS must not expire during orientation or probation period, and must have the same expiration date (upload documentation with online application) Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English. Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools. * Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification. Additional Details * New Graduate RN- NA * Specialty 4-6 weeks depending on specialty area and work hours * Experienced RN not in specialty 6-8 weeks depending on work hours * Resource Nurse: Time varies based on experienceand work hours available during onboarding. 1 position available.
