Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Internal Medicine Location: Elgin, IL & Geneva, IL Status: Part-Time (potential to be full-time) Summary Looking for a personable and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who is willing to learn and works well on a team. Responsible for assisting the physicians in providing quality patient care. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Perform office evaluation of new patients and determine treatment plans in conjunction with the supervising physician. * Perform follow-up care for previous patients of the practice and treat appropriately. * Perform pre-operative history & physical examinations for FVO patients. * Collaborate with physician to continue the growth of the FVO Health Living Program. * Collaborate with physicians to develop and maintain the FVO Bone Health Clinic. * Prescribe legend and controlled substances. * Order appropriate lab work and diagnostic testing. Monitor, review and interpret results of tests, and ensure the patient is informed of results in a timely manner, either by follow-up appointment in office or by phone call. * Accurately and thoroughly document care given to patients. * Complete hospital discharge summaries and admitting history and physicals. * Bill patients according to established procedures. Education & Experience Required: * Graduated from an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program. * Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the State of Illinois. * A minimum of three (3) years of experience, preferably in primary care/internal medicine.
