Our Purpose: To make a positive difference in every life we touch Our Vision: We are transforming health care, creating a destination known for the best clinicians and a one-of-a-kind experience that always puts patients first Our Values: champion patient centered care, exemplify teamwork and connections, be an owner, and embrace the future The intensive care unit at Piedmont Rockdale; * Bedside shift report during nurse and pct handoff 6:45a/p * Hourly, purposeful rounding using A.I.D.E.T * Compliance with our quality initiatives * Multidisciplinary rounding * Nurse patient ratios of 2:1 ICU / 4:1 IMCU * Charge nurse with limited patient load to facilitate daily operations * No call requirements * Self - scheduling through Smart Square Intensive Care Unit (ICU) 18 beds Patient population consist of chest pain, CHF, renal disease, DKA, digestive disease, pulmonary disease and standard critical care patients. Nursing competency includes BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, CRRT, and ICU nursing care. Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) 21 beds Patient population consist of chest pain, CHF, renal disease, DKA, digestive disease, pulmonary disease and general intermediate care patients. Nursing competency includes BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, and general knowledge of intermediate nursing care. All units provide services to a robust patient population with many opportunities to expand your professional practice and experience. You will grow your skills and have many opportunities to enroll in education that offers CEU's. We offer our nurses many opportunities to get involved via the shared governance council, unit-based councils, and a plethora of committees so your voice is always heard. RESPONSIBLE FOR: The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduate of a nursing program MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: New Graduates of a nursing program eligible MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License. BLS certification required. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
