Job Description Longview Regional Medical Center has an opening for a RN full time nights in our Emergency Department! What We Offer: * Competitive compensation * Student Loan Repayment Program * Paid time off plans for vacations, holidays and illness * Health insurance, including coverage for medical, dental, vision and prescription drugs * 401(k) retirement plan * Life and disability insurance * Flexible spending accounts * Opportunities for career advancement * Numerous Employee Recognition Programs * Education Assistance Job Duties: * Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care * Assists physicians during examinations and procedures * Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse * Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills * Relies on experience and judgment to perform a variety of tasks and accomplish goals * May be required to float when needed by the hospital Minimum Requirements: * Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program * Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire * Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire * ACLS and PALS certification required within 90 days of hire; ENCP and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months with facility program. * -A minimum of two (2) years of critical care experience.
