Position Summary This position will serve as a Senior Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator within the Endocrine, Diabetes, and Obesity Clinical Research Unit (EnDO CRU).The Senior Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator develops professional relationships with patients, families, staff, and outside agencies to independently coordinate and provide high-quality research services. They use an in-depth knowledge of disease processes to also complete research study tasks such as medication administration and recording study data. They are involved with updating and revising study processes to reach study goals. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Must be able to use considerable judgement and skills in performing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience The preferred candidate would have clinical research experience, and experience with endocrinology, diabetes, and/or obesity. Required Licenses/Certifications Special Physical/Mental Requirements Ability to travel between two work locations, clinic and offices, less than a quarter of a mile apart. Ability to move items up to 10 pounds. Campus Security Authority Responsibilities Not Applicable.
