Job Description Join our team! Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Emergency Room is now hiring a full-time RN Trauma Coordinator to work in LMC's 326 bed acute care hospital. The department is a secure, 38 bed Emergency room in the main campus of Laredo Medical Center. We have Level III Trauma designation. Everyone in the units report directly to the Director of ER. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Skype or other Virtual Interviewing Processes (VIP) is available for out-of-town applicants. Position's Purpose and Essential Function: Responsible for the coordination of the clinical, educational, planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of all components of the Trauma Services Program. Is responsible for collaboration with all healthcare professionals to establish the standards of trauma care and assures that all are current designation requirements as defined by the Texas Department of State Health Services or the American College of Surgeons. Is responsible for developing, directing, coordinating, and implementing trauma care policies and procedures throughout the organization. Acts as a resource person and consultant to all patient care areas regarding patient care, problem solving, identification, and correction of problems as related for trauma patient. Position Requirements: Education * Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as evidenced by licensure by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and is licensed as a Registered nurse. Experience * Required: Two (2) years relevant clinical experience; with one (1) to three (3) years in a supervisory position preferred. * Required: Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills. Licenses/Certificates * Required: Current RN license in the State of Texas. * Required: Current CPR, ACLS, TNCC and PALS.

Pay

Average Texas Staff Position Pay

$35.46/hour
