This position reports to the Women's Health Director within the Office of Women's Health in the Department's Women, Children and Nursing Services Division. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Serves in an outreach educator role for the state's birthing facilities in close collaboration with the Regional Perinatal Centers (RPCs). * Works collaboratively with the RPC Medical Directors and Outreach Educators by providing guidance and support with program implementation, clinical quality improvement, and education activities. * Serves as an Improvement Advisor for the Georgia Perinatal Quality Collaborative (GaPQC). * Provide senior level professional nursing consultation to the GaPQC including coordinating and providing technical assistance and guidance regarding perinatal health initiatives. Incorporate structured Continuous Quality Improvement principles to support best practice dissemination for GaPQC hospital teams. * Communicate with GaPQC leadership and advisory committees on specific successes and challenges encountered at respective hospitals and determine outreach plans based on support assessment. * Assess team progress reports, summarize knowledge, and stimulate collaboration including sharing of QI initiative successes on monthly webinars and other learning events. * Serve as an engaging and effective clinical liaison to hospital teams, community/patient advisors, medical, and nursing staff to facilitate engagement in projects and campaigns.
