Cherry Hospital is recruiting for a Nurse Educator position. This position is primarily responsible for educating staff on unit-specific training and development. This position will serve as a mentor and resource nurse for the Geriatric, Medical Psych, and Adolescent units, fostering a supportive learning environment. In collaboration with Nursing Education, the Nurse Educator will assist in coordinating the Nursing departmental orientation program as needed. Additionally, this role will act as a preceptor for new RNs and LPNs, conducting competency checkoffs for Professional Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Health Care Technicians. The Nurse Educator is essential in helping staff reach their full potential within their roles. The work schedule is primarily Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, but may require rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary to meet training and educational needs. * Per G.S.126-5(c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7.*  * This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
