Job Posting Summary Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Med/Surg (inpatient cardiac telemetry) unit at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (Heart Hospital). This opening is for a full-time night day position 0645-1915 (3) shifts a week RNs on this unit typically see a 6:1 ratio and are accountable for providing care to patients, adult and geriatric alike, who require advanced care. Our area's only freestanding hospital for heart and vascular care, Baptist Heart Hospital is the centerpiece of our top-ranked heart and vascular program, home to more than 500 physicians, nurses and staff - all with specialized training in providing inpatient and outpatient cardiovascular and thoracic care. As a Registered Nurse on the Cardiac Med/Surg unit, you will be responsible for: * Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) * Organization and supervision of care provided by supportive personnel * Coordination of care provided by ancillary services. Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care. * Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care. * Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
