Official start date will be August 27, 2024. Additional summer hours available. Schedule: Contract salary is based on 181 days per school year with additional hours in the summer. A work schedule will be agreed upon with school administration but will primarily be based on the needs of the school. Salary: School nurses are part of the non-certified staff bargaining unit. Salary in accordance with bargaining unit contract - in the $41.31/hour to $$46.49/hour range. Comprehensive benefits. Ideal Candidate Possesses: * BSN degree * Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of CT * Prior school nursing experience preferred * Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and maintain confidentiality of student and employee records and information at all times * Ability to maintain clear, concise health records for students and staff * Ability to deliver direct clinical services to students and staff in a calm reassuring manner * Ability to understand the needs of young children * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team * Ability to demonstrate initiative and use sound judgment Applications will only be accepted online at the District Website: www.er9.org.
