Public Health Nursing Supervisor

Hours: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week The Public Health Nursing Supervisor will oversee Pediatrics and Adult Primary Care services. The PHN Supervisor will lead primary care efforts while working in partnership with the clinical provider(s) and other members of the healthcare team including Behavioral Health and Dental. Primary Responsibilities: * Supervise staff * Program Management * Quality Improvement * Direct patient care in a clinical setting Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in nursing and administrative experience in a healthcare setting; or graduation from an Associate's degree nursing program and experience in Family Medicine;or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in Family Medicine and 2 years of supervisory experience. Fluency in English and Spanish preferred. License: Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Current CPR certification. Valid NC driver's license. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Thorough knowledge of and skill in the application of nursing theory, practices, principles, and techniques employed in the field of public health and related programs * Considerable knowledge of and skill in obtaining a health history and performing physical examinations * Knowledge of current social and economic problems relating to healthcare * General knowledge of available resources and organizations * Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of others * Must be able to deal tactfully with others and to exercise good judgment in appraising situations and making decisions * Possess ability to secure cooperation of clients, to elicit needed information and to maintain effective working relationships * Accurately record services rendered and to interpret and explain records, reports and medical instruction Our Mission To improve individual and community health through services, education, and collaborative action.
