Nursing Care Partner (Float)

Full-Time 601 Children's Lane Inpatient Nursing Nights 16.6800 Through 25.0200 * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care respective to the assigned patient populations under the direction of the RN. * Completes non-clinical procedures appropriately under the direction of the RN. * Performs other duties as assigned. * LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS * Meets minimum education, certification and/or experience requirements below. * MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * Must meet one of the following requirements: * Actively enrolled in an accredited Registered Nurse program with completion of at least one semester of clinical rotation. * Previous Nursing Care Partner experience at CHKD (within 2 years); * Completion of the nursing student extern program at CHKD; * Graduate of an accredited nursing school program (without successful completion of the NCLEX board exam); * Certification as a nurse assistant. * Certification as a Medical Assistant * Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician * CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire. * Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing. * WORKING CONDITIONS * Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
