Compound Pharmacy Tech

As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will work in our state-of-the-art centralized compounding lab to produce the highest quality pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate has the ability to process a variety of prescriptions in a fast-paced, lab environment and maintains a positive attitude with fellow team members. Our Pharmacy Technicians work promptly, safely and accurately to fill patient prescriptions. Benefits for Pharmacy Technician: * Vacation + holiday pay + personal/sick PTO (FT only) * Medical, dental and vision (FT only) * 401K + match * In-house product training * Discounts on store products at our retail locations * Compensation scaled to certificate level and relevant experience level Responsibilities for Compound Pharmacy Technician: * Compound medications per SOP and regulatory compliance standards * Receive written and electronic prescriptions or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate * Enter and maintain prescription data using pharmacy software system * Answer incoming phone calls and field patient questions * Contact doctor's offices or hospitals to clarify prescription information and initiate refill requests * Resolution of prescription insurance claims * Assist the pharmacist with packaging medications and affixing proper labels * Maintain the ongoing medication inventory and place medication orders when instructed Requirements for Compound Pharmacy Technician: * Must be registered with Texas State Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician or Trainee * Excellent attention to detail * Efficient data entry skills * Knowledge of pharmacy and medical terminology * At least six months pharmacy technician experience preferred * Flexible schedule, available to work variable shifts including Saturdays * Able to lift up to 25+lbs * Able to stand for 8 hours Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
