Our Expert Care. The Job You Wanted Is Here! AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking an RN Internal Travel Float for After-hours. This position is full-time 8:00pm - 8:30am (hours are flexible; 36-40 hours per week). Must be able to travel to, enter, and function in the homes of any patient/caregiver within the service area. Job Summary: Floats to various departments in need of supplemental staff to assist in managing the over-all plan of care of hospice patients in collaboration with other members of the interdisciplinary group (IDG). Assess and identify patient/caregiver problems, establish nursing goals, and interventions. Work with physician to establish medical plan of care for the patient. Establish and maintain therapeutic relationship with patient and caregiver, including providing emotional support and teaching. Work closely with other members of the interdisciplinary group and communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with team members, patients, caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, and other health care professionals. Document the outcome of care. Assume on call responsibilities and Holiday requirement as scheduled. Education and Experience: * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing * Must be currently licensed as an RN in North Carolina and in good standings with NCBON * One year of experience in an acute, hospice, home health setting, or long-term care setting * Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation.
