Main Line Health's Nurse Residency Program - Homecare & Hospice Eligibility: All applicants must be a graduate of a Diploma, ASN or BSN program within the last year or with graduate within the next 6 months. Start dates: Candidates who are offered Nurse Resident positions for the Winter 2024 Cohort can start working between November 2024 and March 2025, pending an active RN license (no temporary practice permits). Shift/Hours: 40 hours per week. Weekend: Not to exceed every other weekend, unit specific. Compensation: $38.00 per hour plus shift differential eligibility. Benefits: Eligible for full time benefit coverage. Holidays: Varied (eligible for holiday time). Must be able to work night shift. Main Line Health's Nurse Residency Program is a year-long program designed to ease the transition to practice for the new graduate nurse in their first professional role. Emphasis is given to nursing leadership behaviors, nurse driven outcomes and professional development. The curriculum is designed to enhance the graduates' critical thinking skills and their ability to use outcome data to promote patient safety. Through the residency program, new graduates can transition to their profession and gain valuable full-time experiences in most clinical specialties. This full time position as a newly licensed registered nurse offers a comprehensive benefits package, competitive pay and shift differential. Main Line Health offers all new graduates a precepted orientation which is based on the clinical specialty and the individual learning needs of the new graduate. On-going supervised training and educational opportunities are provided to the staff during this transition and after orientation. Hospice Nurse Residents can provide patients and families with relief from the symptoms and stresses of a serious illness and in many cases, supports a patient's desire to spend their last months at home, or in a home-like setting such as a life-care community or nursing facility. As a hospice nurse, you will provide treatments and educate patients and families about the patient's care, instructing them about medications, home safety and how to manage health conditions to support the patient's ability to remain independent in the home. Qualifications * Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited Diploma, ASN, or BSN program within the last 12 months or an upcoming graduate of an accredited Diploma & ASN graduates must be actively enrolled in a BSN program within 6 months of their start date and obtain a BSN within 3 years of their start date. * Obtained a preferred 2.8 cumulative GPA. * Valid Driver's license and automobile insurance. * Applicants who have graduated within the last 12 months from their nursing program and have less than one year nursing experience in a non-acute or acute care setting are welcome to apply.
