Registered Nurse Skilled Nursing (On-Call)

Job Description The Registered Nurse provides high quality nursing services to community residents based on each resident's individual service plan and physician's orders. What will I do every day? * You will monitor residents' well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition * Effectively supervise departmental operations on a day-to-day basis * Assess residents to identify their physical, psycho social and environmental needs * Communicate, identify, report and document problems * Demonstrate knowledge of emergency procedures and respond appropriately * Identify and recommend other disciplines needed for quality care of the resident * Document evaluation f nursing interventions including resident response * Assess resident and staff knowledge base of disease process, treatment regimen and/or medication administration and assist with care plans * Provide resident care activities under the direction of the Assisted Living Director * Assist with Medication Management Program * Participate in the Assisted Living performance improvement process * Present required new hire training and ongoing skills training for associates * As well as perform other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role? * Be a graduate of an accredited RN program * CPR/Frist Aid Certified * Have a minimum of one-year experience as a nurse in a senior care setting * Have some Skilled Nursing (preferred) Special Requirements/Certifications I may need? * Current active, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice * Hands on experience with ports and Huber needles a plus * Experience in wound care * Hands on experience with Dialysis shunts a plus What's in it for me?
