These are Inpatients units, each with 24 beds of Medical/Surgical patients. We have telemetry, that allows us to treat all medical patients to include pulmonary, respiratory and cardiac patient populations. We also see patients with minor surgeries. We are a free standing building outside of the hospital and have our own RRT nurse, respiratory therapist, lab, and resident physicians. The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED * Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. * Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations. * Must hold American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS). KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED: * BSN degree * One (1) year of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). * Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units. * Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
