Accreditation Specialist Registered Nurse (RN) - Accreditation (Days)
The Accreditation Specialist is a Registered Nurse who assists in the planning, organization, direction, and implementation of all services under the realm of regulatory compliance. The Accreditation Specialist assists in the preparation of all reports that are submitted to regulatory bodies. The Accreditation Specialist will assist in the coordination of Joint Commission continuous survey readiness, and actual survey activities. He or she may be asked to assist with state or federal surveys as needed. This individual has knowledge of The Joint Commission standards to include Hospital, Critical Access, Behavioral Health, Home Care and Clinical Laboratory. The Accreditation Specialist communicates regularly with the System Manager and Director of Accreditation Services regarding any identified issues of concern regarding noncompliance and ensures appropriate follow-up. Education Associate Degree, bachelor's degree preferred Experience Four years of related experience. Requires broad knowledge of complex systems and procedures. Licenses & Certifications * Georgia Registered Nurse or Multistate Nursing License Qualifications * Ability to build constructive and cooperative working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders and maintain them over time. * Ability to build networks and work with diverse people. * Ability to persuade others logically. * Bachelor's Degree preferred * Demonstrated ability to orchestrate people and events. * Effective communication and presentation skills. * Experience in acute care setting required and preferred experience with Joint Commission survey preparedness. * Good organization skills and accuracy, including strong attention to detail, and timely follow-up required. * Highly professional manner, positive and flexible attitude, and ability to work cross functionally. * Independent work ethic. * Knowledgeable in basic computer applications such as Word, Power Point, Excel, e-mail, and Internet * Skill in planning and project management. * Understands statistical analysis, and Performance Improvement methodology for report generation. Monday - Friday 8-5
