Occupational Health Nurse Specialist


The Occupational Health Nurse Specialist prepares health screenings and health assessments, including wellness screenings, vision screenings, and immunizations. Working under moderate supervision, this role communicates accurate information to employers and clients in a timely and professional manner. Completes screenings and assessments with proper protocols in place in accordance with standards, laws, and company policies in order to maintain compliance. Acts as a liaison for communication between employers, Workers Compensation Insurance companies, and third-party administrators of Industrial Accounts in order to deliver information. Markets the occupational health services to employers through outreach and sending informational material in order to build a client base. Enters information in the Practice Management system in order for efficient and accurate documentation. Prepares new accounts for Workers Compensation and Industrial Accounts to ensure that employee information can be accessed. Reviews operations of off-site clinics, random drug testing, and employer respirator questionnaires to ensure that appointments are completed and results are delivered. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION:Required: Associate's Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree EXPERIENCE:Required: 3 years as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or national nursing organizations LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider Equal Opportunity Employer At Cone Health, we strive to create a welcoming atmosphere that celebrates a diverse and unique workforce.
