Onsite School Telehealth CMA for Innovative Program


Overview The Telehealth Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) performs clinical and administrative duties in a hospital. Working under moderate supervision, this role is responsible for clinical duties, tracking medical records, assisting with procedures, and providing patient information to doctors and nurses. This role has a focused specialty in providing telehealth services. Talent Pool: Nursing Support Responsibilities Completes clinical duties under the guidance of nurses or doctors via an online Telehealth platform, gathering information on how the patient feels and symptoms.Reviews symptoms of patient and advises on next steps and if there are any prescriptions or actionable steps to take to combat the health issues.Documents patient information related to assessments, treatments, outcomes, and screenings to maintain medical records in accordance with department and company guidelines.Communicates effectively and virtually with broader CMA team to deliver timely updates on patient standing or potential problems that they may need assistance resolving.Protects patient confidentiality by ensuring that health information and records are communicated with consistency with the appropriate standards, laws, and company policies.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; Diploma in Practical Nursing EXPERIENCE:Required: 3 years of related experience LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: Licensed Practical Nurse certification or certification as a medical assistant by one of the following: American Associate of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (RMA), National Healthcare Worker's Association (NHCWA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Registry of Medical Assistants (NRMA)BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
