Title: Part Time Registered Nurse (WAGE) State Role Title: RN II/Nurse Prct I/Phy Asst Hiring Range: Based on Experience up to $48/hr Pay Band: 5 Agency: Dept of Veterans Services Location: Sitter-Barfoot Veterans Care Agency Website: https://www.dvs.virginia.gov/veterans-care-centers/sitter-barfoot-veterans-care-center Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center; named for two Medal of Honor recipients - Colonel Van Barfoot and Colonel Carl Sitter - provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia's Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across four nursing units. Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Part Time RN Floor Nurse. Please note this position is PRN and does require the RN to commit to working one day a week, one weekend a month, and one holiday. The RN is responsible for delivering skilled nursing care for our veteran residents. The RN is responsible for maintaining the quality of services and monitoring and supervising the direct care staff in the performance of their duties. Other Duties May Include: Administering medications and treatment accurately for assigned residents; Making daily rounds Observing and evaluating the physical and emotional status of assigned residents and taking necessary actions to ensure their health and well-being Consulting with physicians, receiving, recording and implementing orders and scheduling appointments Documenting residents' health changes via acute care nurse's notes and shift change nursing reports Formulating plans of care for new residents Preparing all required reports and documentation Maintaining equipment, supplies, and materials necessary for nursing care Consulting with Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager as needed. Minimum Qualifications Must possess a valid Virginia RN License.
