Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Hours of Work : Days Of Week : Work Shift : 8X5 Day (United States of America) Job Description : Your Job: The Nurse Manager will work independently and interdependently with hospital and corporate systems to accomplish efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. The Manager will be responsible for the running of the department while overseeing the schedule and ensure STAFFnd equipment is available to provide service to the patients. You will be responsible for hiring, disciplinary action and yearly reviews for the staff. In this role, will act as an expert clinical resource with regards to nursing while supporting the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System. In addition to daily operations leadership, this role will play a key part in our relationship development, communication and care improvement efforts with local EMS. This role will play a key part in setting up the structure to support our Magnet journey including creation of unit-based councils for their assigned areas. This role will be responsible for partnering with our Emergency Department Medical Director on creation of clinical, procedural and operational best practices for the Emergency Department. Your Requirements: * Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. * Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. * 3 to 5 years Nurse Manager experience required * Current CPR certification required. * Current certifications as required by department. * Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas Your Job Responsibilities: * Communicate clearly and openly * Build relationships to promote a collaborative environment * Be accountable for your performance * Always look for ways to improve the patient experience * Take initiative for your professional growth * Be engaged and eager to build a winning team Methodist Celina Medical Center is located on a 40+ acre campus just off of Dallas Parkway, and will serve as the community's first full-service hospital, serving Celina and surrounding communities. The four-story medical center will open with 51 beds, with plans for expansion, and will feature a range of services including cardiology, women's services, orthopedics, robotic surgery, and more. The campus will also include a 40,000-square-foot medical office building. The $237 million facility will be one of Celina's largest employers in the fastest growing city in the country.
