Registered Nurse/Nursing Administrator 80% Travel-within state/Hybrid Salary 70K Do you want a job where you can utilize your nursing background, have fun, and make a difference in people's lives? As Nursing Administrator, you will provide nursing services, training, oversight, and support to address the medical or psychiatric needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, substance abuse issues, and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. * Oversee the medical assessment of individuals referred to the program and collaborate with the Program Director or Area Director or others as needed to determine appropriateness for placement in the community * Participate in the development and implementation of service plans and supervise, sometimes in conjunction with the physicians, the medical components of the plan; review documents and revise all nursing/nursing related care plans on a regular basis * Ensure that current and complete medical records and reports are in accordance with regulatory and corporate standards, including medication administration records and physicians' orders * Develop training flow charts specific to individuals receiving services, as needed; provide and document medical skills training to individuals served, mentors, respite providers, staff, and where appropriate, the individual's biological family * Supervise and manage LPNs as assigned, including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, training, and ongoing support; resolve employee relations issues as needed; make decisions related to employment * Present medical skills components at pre-service orientation as assigned; conduct CPR/First Aid training as needed * May participate as an Individual Health Plan (IHP) or Plan of Care (POC) team member, evaluate the medical needs of each individual for initial IHP/POC, ensure IHP/POC goals and objectives are medically indicated, and generate ongoing health care protocols for the specific medical conditions outlined in the IHP/POC * Oversee the management of high-risk medical conditions and private duty nursing services, in conjunction with operations staff, as needed * Oversee, in conjunction with the PD and PC, contact with primary care physicians and specialists, and, when indicated, attend doctor visits with mentor and/or individual receiving services * Promote health and wellness for individuals and ensure nursing actions and steps are implemented for prevention of falls, injuries, and recurrence of health problem(s) * Administer medications according to established guidelines; provide documentation for all medications given and review medication administration records for compliance * Actively participate in IDT meetings, Human Rights Committee, Health and Safety Committee, and Administration meetings as necessary * Consult and provide technical assistance to staff and mentors regarding home care issues associated with obtaining and operating durable medical equipment * Coordinate, organize and/or assist as necessary with household activities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transport for individuals to planned and/or necessary activities and appointments * Participate in on-call system as needed Qualifications: * Graduate of an accredited RN program with current state RN license * One year of experience working with medically complex individuals * Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation to individuals receiving services * Current CPR/First Aid certification * Good communication skills with ability to build rapport with others * Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task * Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks/workload Why Join Us? * Full compensation/benefits package for full-time employees. * 401(k) with company match * Paid time off and holiday pay * Complex work adding value to the organization's mission alongside a great team of coworkers * Enjoy job security with nationwide career development and advancement opportunities We have meaningful work for you - come join our team - Apply Today!
