Job Posting Summary * Premium hourly rate of $75/hr.* Baptist Medical Center is seeking an Internal Traveler Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist to join our Cath Lab team at Baptist South! This position is a key component of Baptist Medical Center's esteemed Internal Traveler Program, offering a 12-week contract with the added flexibility of self-scheduling, along with an attractive premium hourly rate of $75/hr! This is a Full-Time Day shift opportunity with a schedule consisting of 4 10-hour shifts 6:30 am - 5 pm with minimum of 16 call shifts a month and Thanksgiving call is required. As a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist you will be responsible for: * Ensuring patient is consented and pre procedure assessment and paperwork is completed. * Performing monitoring of patient during Cardiac and structural heart procedures * Procedural sedation * Providing medication needed for patient care during procedures * Communicating any concerns, abnormalities or issues with Cardiologists. * Providing support during procedures (circulating) by dropping sterile supplies for the Cardiologist and scrub tech. Transporting patients post procedure to inpatient care and provides hand off communication. * Must possess critical thinking skills to provide preemptive care during procedures. * Monitoring and record patient procedures when not in circulator or sedating role. * Collaborative team work both in procedure rooms and with all teams within the Cardiovascular division is a must This PEAK/Internal Traveler Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist will be located at Baptist South.
