Job Description Join our Team! Laredo Medical Center's North Central Free Standing Emergency Department is now hiring a full-time ED RN Clinical Coordinator who would like to take that next step in their career. The Hospital is located in sunny Laredo, Texas, just 150 miles south of historic San Antonio. Skype or other Virtual Interviewing Processes (VIP) is available for out-of-town applicants. Position's Purpose and Essential Functions: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of an assigned unit or clinic section within a hospital. Schedules employee shifts and ensures admitting and discharge functions are providing for optimal patient flow. Ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. May perform other administrative functions as necessary. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. M-F, 40 hour work week with availability to staff as needed. Job Requirements Include: Education * Required: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as evidenced by license by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners and is licensed as a Registered Nurse. Experience * Required: Two (2) years of relevant clinical experience, with one (1) to three (3) years in a supervisory position preferred. Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills required. Licenses / Certificates: * Required: Current RN license in the State of Texas. * Required: CPR, ACLS, TNCC and PALS.
