Our Surgery Center is committed to making the patient's experience the best by providing a full range of specialty services including Open Heart Surgery, Orthopedics, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Thoracic, Gynecology, Vascular, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental, Plastics, Urology, Gastroenterology, Pediatrics, and Pain Management, with 135 surgeons credentialed to operate within The Surgery Center. As a level I Trauma Center, we provide 24/7 coverage for multiple types of emergent and trauma injuries. Our Surgery Center includes a Main OR, Same Day Surgery, Recovery Room (PACU), Pre-op, Endoscopy, and Children's OR. To join this awesome team of highly skilled professionals, apply now! * Please indicate area of interest on your application * We currently have the following openings: Main Operating Room: The Surgery Center is comprised of 20 state-of-the-art operating suites. We serve a diverse range of specialties including, but not limited to Neuro, Cardiovascular and Open Heart, Orthopedics and Orthopedic Trauma, Plastics, ENT, General, Gynecology, Urology and Robotics. Operating Room nursing is one of the few specialties where the nurse has only 1 patient from start to finish. OR nurses are expected to fill in other Operating Room areas as needed, however OR nurses will never be floated to other departments in the hospital. Recovery Room (PACU): Our PACU is a 28-bed unit that provides care for post-operative patients recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local. Due to the possibility of rapid changes in a patient's physiological condition, PACU nurses administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention, and continuous reassessment. Pre-Op (Guest Relations): Our Pre-operative nurses are considered the backbone of the surgical team, responsible for providing nursing assistance in surgical settings, including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of surgery. Endoscopy: Our Endoscopy area consists of 8 pre-op rooms, 5 procedure rooms and 8 recovery rooms. Our patients are typically nervous when they come for their procedure, because of this, our goal is to provide comfort and rest and the best patient outcomes. Minimum Requirements: Associates or Bachelors Degree in nursing from an accredited professional school of nursing. Current valid Georgia Nursing License or eNLC RN license, CPR.
