Emergency Dept. Evening Manager

Responsible to Nursing Department for planning, organizing, influencing, controlling and evaluating patient services and personnel for the assigned areas. Responsible to the customer for courteous, accurate, timely service. Responsibility and Major Duties: Performs job specific responsibilities after completion of system-wide, facility and/or unit specific orientation. Establishes the professional practice standards and behaviors for assigned areas. Assumes fiscal responsibility for assigned areas. Supports the hospital's performance improvement plan and activities. Develops and maintains collaborative relationships in the coordination of patient care. Utilizes leadership, management and organizational skills in the operation of assigned care areas. Participates in recruitment and retention. Selects qualified competent department staff to provide quality services. Completes performance appraisals on time based on policy. Recommends operating and capital budgets and monitors allocation of resources. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education: Associates Degree required. Bachelors of Nursing preferred. Experience: Three year's clinical experience with at least one year in specific clinical area. Licenses/Certifications: RN license; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
