Intermediate Care Unit - Cornell 1: The Telemetry/Stroke Unit at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital provides care for patients with cardiac conditions including heart failure, cardiac rhythm disturbances, newly implanted permanent pacemakers and defibrillators, post- coronary interventions, post-ablation, myocardial infarctions. Cornell 1 also cares for TIA, acute stroke, and post procedural neuro cases that stepdown from ICU. This 30-bed unit sees a ratio of 1:4 or 1:6 depending on patient acuity levels and is well supported with additional patient care technician, educators, and a strong leadership team. Requirements: * Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program * BSN or MSN preferred. * Registered Nurse License * Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program. * Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License * BLS within 90 days of hire. * Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career.
