We are currently recruiting for a 1st shift Nurse Supervisor II for the Child and Adolescent Unit (CAU-D0, E0, F0) at Central Regional Hospital (CRH). The Child & Adolescent Unit (CAU) serves two age groups: Latency ages 5 -11, Adolescent ages 12 - 17. Both age groups have co-ed patient care units. Many of the patients have history of trauma, neglect and in need of home placement. Other presentations: IDD, ADHD, PTSD, depression, psychosis, conduct disorder, school failure, poor social skills, and delayed language. CAU's behavior system supports positive alternatives to aggression and provides rewards with positive reinforcers and does not include punishment. CAU's philosophy is "kids do well if they can" and focuses on identifying the child's 'lagging skills' then helping the child develop the skills needed to be successful in the community. Employees in this role are responsible for implementation of the nursing process and maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practice, coordinating nursing and training programs; and assisting in solving professional, administrative, and supervisory problems for an assigned area. The role is expected to participate in assigned Nursing and Hospital committees/work groups/subgroups. The role may also provide delegated coverage of the Nurse Supervisor III role and has direct supervision of all administrative/direct care positions on assigned area/s (shift). This role has 8-hour responsibility and is a subject employee. Employees in this class are supervised by and may assist a higher-level Nurse Supervisor or Nurse Director. This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full State benefits package. Normal work hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm and as needed to ensure supervisory requirements. Flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. This position is designated as Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
