Nurse Practitioner - Cardiology Inpatient Service


Nurse practitioner provides patient services through the performance of patient evaluation, assessment and treatment in the medical office setting as allowed by state licensure laws under the supervision of the medical director. The nurse practitioner works closely with the clinic staff, hospital departments and community agencies. Hours: 4 ten hour shifts per week. Will have every Wednesday off. 1:5 weekend coverage. Will only work 2 week days the week you cover the weekend. Location: Will work out of both Tanner Medical Center Carrollton and Tanner Medical Center Villa Rica with primary location in Carrollton. Education Master's Degree Experience Six months of related experience Licenses & Certifications * Healthcare Provider (CPR) * Georgia Nurse Practitioner License * Georgia Registered Nurse License Qualifications * Able to communicate effectively with medical and hospital staff and various populations in clinics and public screening events. * ACLS recommended. * Additional certification will be required for some specialties (i.e. ACLS, PALS) * Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Georgia * Graduate of a recognized program for Nurse Practitioner training (MSN). * Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees and physicians * Must maintain high degree of confidentiality. * Must meet credentialing criteria. * Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital and/or other physician. * Must possess the sense or discipline to work in accordance with accepted clinical standards. * Prior experience in a like specialty preferred.
