Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Registered IP

Overview The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer Registered IP is responsible for performing a range of cardiac ultrasound procedures under the guidance and close supervision of the chief technical sonographer to help physicians assess and determine the cardiac conditions of patients. The role delivers exceptional customer service through the prioritization of patient safety, preferences, and effective communication, through partnering with patients, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders to contribute to accurate cardiac diagnostics and patient-centered care. The position focuses on providing care to pediatric patients in cardiac settings. Talent Pool; Allied Health Talent Pool: Allied Health Responsibilities Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols with good diagnostic quality. Analyzes test data and accurately communicates findings to reading cardiologists to aid in proper diagnosis and treatment planning and ensure seamless collaboration between the sonographer and cardiologists. Operates, troubleshoots, and requests repair of all testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results and promote patient safety and efficient workflow. Maintains professional and CPR certification to adhere to industry standards and ensure readiness to respond to any cardiac emergencies that may arise. If trained by staff education and demonstrates competency, performs IV insertion and maintains IV competency skills on an annual basis. Administers image enhancing agent as ordered to optimize quality of echocardiogram.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE:Required: 0-1 years in Healthcare- Ultrasound Training program LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: RDCS | Reg Dx Cardiac | Registered Cardiac Sonographer RDCS or RCS from ARDMS or CCI.BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
