Registered Nurse (RN) - Women's & Newborn's (Full Time)


Uvalde Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Women's & Newborns unit. As an integral member of our care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to mothers and newborns, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for both. Your expertise will assist in labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care while fostering patient education and family involvement. Key Responsibilities: * Provide comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, as well as newborns. * Monitor and assess patients, administer medications, and manage IVs and epidurals as needed. * Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Assist with cesarean sections, vaginal deliveries, and other related procedures. * Educate patients and their families on postpartum care, newborn care, and breastfeeding techniques. * Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital policies. * Respond to emergency situations and provide critical care when necessary. * Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and infection control measures. Qualifications: * Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. * 1 year of nursing experience in labor and delivery, postpartum, or newborn care preferred. * BLS for Healthcare Provider's Certification required. * Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills. * Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
