We assist individuals in creating opportunities to recover from mental illness and substance use disorders by instilling hope, facilitating choice, promoting healing, and supporting their personal journeys of wellness.    Broughton Hospital is currently recruiting Registered Nurses for all shifts to work with our specialized adolescent and geriatric populations. The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care to assigned individuals and professional nursing supervision to LPN's and unlicensed assistive personnel.  The RN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing actions and assures coordination of care to assigned caseload. The RN acts as team leader when assigned with responsibility for daily operational routines and provides clinical care and consultation as necessary or assigned, including but not limited to: medication/treatment administration, care planning/implementation, collaboration with multidisciplinary team of physicians and other professionals/support staff to ensure the provision of care. The normal work schedule is a 36-hour/48-hour rotation schedule over a two-week period, 40-hour/week, 36-hour/week, or 32-hour/week with alternating weekends and holidays. As always, flexibility is required for training and education purposes and to meet hospital needs.     The following shifts are available:                                                          Work Schedule                              Shift Premium  12-hour Day:                                    7:00am-7:30pm                             10% Weekend  12-hour Night:                                 7:00pm-7:30am                             20% Weekday & 30% Weekend  * 8-hour shifts will be considered upon request  Please note: Selected applicants will be required to work Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week for the duration of new employee orientation and training.  * This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.* Salary Grade:  MH15  Recruitment Range: $70,000 - $85,000 Position Number: Multiple Exam Plan:  24-13635 * Per G.S. 126-5(c1) (37), this position is Exempt from all provisions of NC General Statute Chapter 126 (State Human Resources Act) with the exception of Articles 6 and 7    To receive credit for all your work history and credentials, you must list the information in the "Work Experience" section of your NC State application form. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: * The employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date); * The employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency; * Or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
