Registered Nurse, RN- Surgical Services (ASC)
Overview * Schedule: PRN. This PRN position does not have a set schedule or guaranteed hours. The position can be either for the Operating Room or Pre/post dependent on candidate background & interests. The hours for the OR are 6:45A-3:15P, Pre/post hours range from coming in 0530, 0700, and 0730 & leaving 1400, 1530, and 1600. This center is closed on weekends and major holidays. * Department: Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and pre-op OR Operating Room. Employee will be cross trained to each phase of care. * Requirements: Either prior Operating Room, PACU, pre-op, ICU, ED or Critical Care or experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Prior IV experience is required for pre/post. * Location:7210 Village Medical Circle, Clemmons, North Carolina * Information: This is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), there are 3 OR's and a total of 16 pre/post bays. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. * Experience: One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred. * Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred. * Additional Skills (required): Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and ability to carry out the functions as stated in the NC nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient's age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
